Ryan and Morgan Mathews joined WPI in January of 2025. They are both former college athletes who now serve in campus ministry at NC State and Shaw University mentoring and discipling student athletes and coaches at both Universities. Ryan will help Jay lead the spiritual development with the Pro 5 baseball Academy.

Ryan grew up in Orlando, FL and played baseball at NC State from 2009-2012. He also played for the Oakland A’s from 2012-2015. Ryan came to know the Lord through Athletes in Action at NC State. Since then he has been passionate to disciple other athletes and help them grow in their faith.

Morgan grew up in Greenville, SC and played soccer in college at Coastal Carolina University. She grew in her faith in college through the ministry of campus outreach. She is passionate about seeing young women come to know the Lord and live as empowered disciples of Christ.

They live in Knightdale, NC with their 3 young children, Shelby, Oliver, and Ezra. They bring a range of skills and expertise to help expand the kingdom of God through WPI.
